Haven't had a letter from Chaz since last month, and haven't spoken to him in about three weeks. He sends pictures and videos, so we know he is alive and well. Just working, we guess.

Transfers Again

Baptisms: 0  Chaos Level: High That just about explains the week. ---Baptism Dates--- Well after being sick for a few weeks I was able to work in my area again. We had 2 baptism dates to work with and alot to do. We went about trying to get the signatures of the parents of our baptism dates. We weren't able to do it and weren't able to baptize them unfortunately. We need to wait for the right time and keep on teaching them and maybe they will get there. ---Service Project--- We had a service project in which we painted an entire house. 3 bedrooms, the kitchen, everything. While we were painting and moving things around I lost my wallet (which turned out to be a blessing, you'll just have to read the rest of the letter to find out). After looking everywhere I couldn't find it. I had to go several days without it which was embarrassing to say the least. ---Robbed--- The good thing about losing my wallet is that a couple days later I got robbed. We were walking home at ni

The Past Two Weeks - Hospital Time

So these past weeks have been interesting to say the least. I do now know just about all the hospital staff at one of the hospitals here in Tegucigalpa if that says anything about these past two weeks. ---Sick--- 10 Feb To start things off, I went to the hospital on the 10 because I had a really bad cough. The doctors said that it was just a cold, and I should take some rest to recover from it. Those doctors had no idea what was going to happen next however.. ---Hospital Stay--- 11-14 Feb Because I had to rest for 3 days, the mission sent me to stay in the hospital to accompany an Elder who had appendicitis and was in recovery. I just sat in a chair and for a couple days straight in the hospital. I got fast food from the secretaries which was fine I guess but I did have to sleep on an uncomfortable bed-chair. ---Sicker--- 17 Feb I got back from the hospital on Tuesday and we thought all was well. I was still taking medication and everything was going fine, but I started to get tons of

General Authority Visit

---Multizone with Elder Giuffra--- We were able to have a multizone with Elder Giuffra (pronounced yoofra). There were alot of great talks so you get highlights from all of them! -Sister Baquedano  She gave a good talk on the purpose of Preach My Gospel. It was made to help us to declare repentance here in the mission. It teaches us what we can do to help people be purified from sin. -President Baquedano President Baquedano made a great comparison between the story of the brazen serpent in the bible to missionary work. The children of Israel were being assailed by venomous serpents and the only way to be saved was to do a simple act of faith. The brazen serpent for missionary work can be things like Preach My Gospel, the mission rules or the Scriptures. The venomous serpents are things that distract or waste our time. We can be protected from distractions if we do the simple things that help us grow. -Sister Giuffra Sister Giuffra shared this great scripture  32  And the Lord said un

New Area, New Adventures

Hello It has been a while since I have written (first week something actually happened). I hope you enjoy this. ---New area---  I have been transferred to Los Laurels: my first area with more than a 100 people in sacrament meeting every week. We have a pretty large area. Lots of mountains and hiking up and down. I live in a guarded neighborhood far from most of the members which means I have to walk a lot. I am going to get a lot of exercise  ---New Companion--- Elder Terrazas is from Bolivia. He only has 7 weeks in Honduras and makes me feel old. I have to teach him about things in Honduras (vocabulary, food - apparently tortillas don't exist in Bolivia) but not so much. He has enough time so that isn't a problem. This is my first time being older than my companion and first time having more time than him. This transfer is going to be a learning experience for sure.   ---Choir--- We had a special YSA Sunday here (ysa wards still don't exist here). We had to sing in the c

Happy New Year

---Christmas--- Christmas was alot of fun here. We went and had dinner 5 times! Other than that I had to give a talk on the 25 and it was not prepared very well so it went fine.... Lots of fun during my only Christmas here. ---Not me this time!!!--- We had to go to the hospital this week. This time it was for Chaj. He's got old man back pain and something else up with his face. All should be well.. ---Baptism--- Sofia finally got baptized. I found her with Alvey all the way back in September. It was great to receive all the help from the members. She has alot of friends so I think she is going to stay active and progress even more. ---New Years--- Christmas with less food and a lot more fireworks. We went up on our roof and uhhhh yeah. It was smoggy and loud and all of that fun stuff. I went to bed earlier (around 12:30) and had a good night. Chaj had to give a talk the following day and it was clear he had the same amount of prep time I did so yeah... ---Spiritual Thought--- “[W
