First Week in Tegucigalpa

Tuesday: Here we go! Here's what my morning looked like 5:30 - wake up 6:15 Catch a bus to Tegucigalpa  8:30 Arrive in Tegucigalpa at the meet up point. Met my comp and my zone leaders 9:00 - Arrive in my area: La Peña (which is just up the street from the mission office) Our apartment is in a neighborhood (first time that has happened in a while) and on the second floor. The room for our clothes doesn't have lightbulbs (fun) but overall it's pretty nice. Our pila is inside our apartment (weird).  I managed to be in Sigua for the whole summer (summer is March, April and part of May), so the weather here is pretty great. We went around and made some quick visits  so not too much to talk about there. Let's just say there is a lot more missionary work going on here than in Sigua. Wednesday: Minecraft and Temple No. I didn't play minecraft here, but the service project we did was minecraft in real life. So we went to someone's house to do a service project. Our job ...

My Last Week in Sigua

Well.... last week Yeah, not much worth writing about happened the past week. I got my package (thanks mom and dad) and we had zone conference. So I guess I can talk about that. We arrived in Comayagua the day before. When we arrived I found my package which made me happy. We had 3 talk seminar lesson things (like I know what to call them). The overall messages where about how obedience and stability leads to success.  It was cool to see the vision the mission president has for the mission.  He also talked about how the most important thing we do on our mission is to convert ourselves. When he does go-home interviews, the only questions he has are about how we have grown personally. We did our interviews with the president after the zone conference. He asked me about my Spanish and if I felt ready to train. I shared with him the principal in 1 Nephi 3:7: "And it came to pass that I, Nephi, said unto my father: I will go and do the things wh...

No Letter this Week: Just Pictures

No letter this week from Chaz. He had zone conference and sent pictures, and then the mission posted more on Facebook.

5 Months Into this!

On the 29th, I hit 5 months being on my mission (around 3.5 - 4 in Honduras) Monday: Relaxing This day was just a lot of sitting around and relaxing which was nice. It's good to take a break every once in a while. Tuesday: "Nos cayó la ley!!!" - Just put it into google translate While we were preparing to go to an appointment, the travel APs came and visited us. They were "searching" for something which only makes it more weird. They searched the apartment and our phone during our appointment. It was really weird and I am not sure why they went  out this far (3hrs from their apartment) to do that. The appointment we went to was the birthday party of Karina whose mom we are trying to marry. She had friends over and we met them too which was fine.  My head was hurting all day so I didn't eat much. Turns out that was an omen for the next day... Before we go there, Karina did give us permission to baptize her son, but he's not interested (DANG IT). Wednesda...
