Transfer to Divina Providencial

We didn't get a letter from Chaz last week (or this week). His companion had Dengue fever the week before and was knocked out for a couple of days. They were scheduled to have a baptism on Thursday. Yesterday they got transfer notices, and he is moving again. This time to a town outside Tegucigalpa. Don't know much details - first week we haven't talked on video. Just too busy I guess (which is awesome).

Baptism of Paolo

Before we get to that, let's talk about the other things that have happen this week. Tuesday: So Many Meetings First off, we had District Council in the morning. President Baquedano and the ZLs visited the meeting as well because we had it in a classroom in the mission office. My District Leader (Elder Shirley) was very stressed the entire time which was a little funny to see. Afterwards, we had our interviews with Pres Baquedano. It was a pretty normal interview, nothing too specific. We had English Class that afternoon which, as always, was fun.  We had ward council that night. (Having it on Tuesday is weird)  We gave our presentation type thing and then Temple and Family gave theirs. Afterwards, the bishopric told us that we should coordinate better with our ward mission leader. Temple and Family History coordinates well and we should emulate that. Wednesday: Meeting our neighbor We went out and met with one of the members that happens to lives super close to us. We ...

Halfway through this transfer

Tuesday: Multi Zones We had a big mission meeting called a Multizone conference. Unlike in the past where we had to bus in to Tegus the night before, we just took a taxi in the morning.  The meeting was great and everything. I'm not going to mention specifics because it was all over the place topic wise. The missionaries who were going to leave at the end of the transfer gave their testimonies. 3 of the 4 APs, and one of the mission nurses gave their testimonies. A lot of mission leadership is leaving soon. Wednesday: Horse!!!! We went to someone we are teaching's house to help them out with a small field they have. When we got there, we found out a horse had eaten through the grass we were supposed to cut. A horse beat us to it, a HORSE!  Apparently, a friend loaned them their horse to help them out. Hungry horse + grass = no more grass. Thursday: English Connect So the church created a program to help people learn English. We decided it would be best to teach from the...

Last Week

(sorry for being late) Wow, 6 months has flown by quick, really quick.  I was still pretty sick for most of the week, but feel better now I guess. Tuesday: Hospital Visit #2 Before we talk about that... Let's talk about District Council. We have District Council every Tuesday and we talk about our goals for the week with the other companionships in our District.  We took the bus and headed to a church building nearby. We had alot of people there (4 areas + the APs visited).  We talked about what were our plans were and our goal for baptisms in June. During the meeting, I had problems breathing, so I went out and took a breather (bad joke). We contacted the mission nurses about taking a visit to the hospital (fun).  After waiting for 2 hours, and a good 30min of driving we got there. They directed me to the triage center and did lots of tests. After all the tests and the boredom they came down to the diagnosis of rinoporigitus aguda (I think that is how you spell it?)...

No Letter: Zone Conf Pics

No letter from Chaz this week. We talked to him on Monday, and he has still be a little bit sick (good one day, then not the next). Likes his new companion. They have baptism schedule on Saturday. On Wed the mission posted photos from multi-zone conferences.
