(sorry for being late)
Wow, 6 months has flown by quick, really quick.
I was still pretty sick for most of the week, but feel better now I guess.
Tuesday: Hospital Visit #2
Before we talk about that... Let's talk about District Council. We have District Council every Tuesday and we talk about our goals for the week with the other companionships in our District.
We took the bus and headed to a church building nearby. We had alot of people there (4 areas + the APs visited). We talked about what were our plans were and our goal for baptisms in June.
During the meeting, I had problems breathing, so I went out and took a breather (bad joke). We contacted the mission nurses about taking a visit to the hospital (fun). After waiting for 2 hours, and a good 30min of driving we got there. They directed me to the triage center and did lots of tests. After all the tests and the boredom they came down to the diagnosis of rinoporigitus aguda (I think that is how you spell it?). All it is is a nasty cold that gets you in the upper lung area.
I got more meds and headed back for the day because it was 6 o'clock when we got home.
Wednesday: Dad's birthday
Not much happened. Not much at all. I rested most of the day and we went and visited a family at night. They have a 9 yr old who isn't baptized yet and we taught him a lesson.
Later that night, I called my Dad for his birthday. It was weird talking to my family mid week.
Thursday: English Class #2
I rested a lot, and we had English Class in Afternoon. I had a lot of fun teaching and it's better when we have a larger group. We had 9 people there which was great.
I helped tutor one of the people who's English is alot better than the rest. He lived in the United States for a long time so his English is pretty good.
Friday: A lot of street contacting
We needed to find new people so we went out and as Preach My Gospel states it "Talk[ed] with everyone"
We went up and down streets and talked with alot of people. We were able to find around 13 people just talking in the streets.
After that, we went and talked with one of the people Elder Ramos baptized the month before. He talked alot about UFOs and aliens which was strange, but it was fun.
Saturday: Baptism Date
So we visited the family where there is a 9 yr old who isn't baptized. We taught them and lesson and everything and said he wanted to be baptized. So we have a baptism planned for him for the next Saturday!
Sunday: Cheesecake
We went over to a members house to make cheesecake. Well, Elder Ramos made cheesecake. I got very bored rather quickly, so I didn't. It did taste pretty good when it was ready though.
That's it for this week. (Really last week)
