---Tuesday--- Teaching people
We had our normal district council and all. After that, we had lunch (it was pretty good). We got back home a bit later than usual (Around 3). We were able to chat with someone for a while though. She was kinda rude during the conversation, because she just kept interrupting everybody, including her own daughter when she tried to share a personal experience. Though it was aggravating, it was still pretty fun talking to her.
---Wednesday--- Cerron and Contacting
We met this guy Mario Cerron a while ago and we stopped by his house to teach him. We decided to read a chapter from the Book of Mormon. The last lesson we had, we talked about it and he actually did read a little of it. He didn't understand how much of it he was supposed to read, so we read the chapter with him. Afterwards, we invited him to read the introduction of the book and he decided that he was going to. He is interested in our message and all which is great and reading a little bit of the book is more than what we get most of the time.
Later in the day we went out contacting. We went to a spot in town and just started knocking on doors. We were able to find a couple of people who were interested which was great. A lot of people say that they're Catholic and not interested in changing religion but are willing to listen to the word of God. I guess that's something. Better than people telling their kids to lie to us.
---Thursday--- Maria Jose
We went out to this small town 30 minutes by bus outside of our area. Why you might ask? We have 19 inactive members who live out there. They are all related and live in 3 different houses.
We talked about their difficulties and all (Just sounded like they are a bunch of people who think the church should send a bus to pick them up and take them to church. Some of them are spoiled rich prats and the others have leg problems and live really far away. Some of them are sympathizable but others.... absolutely not. YOU OWN A PLANTATION AND A CAR REPAIR SHOP COME TO CHURCH!!!!
After that we went out contacting in the street. We found a group of people and they asked us if we drank Coke. We said that we could and they were super surprised. In Honduran culture, coffee is considered super healthy and normal, but coke is unhealthy and not that great for you. When people hear that we don't drink coffee and drink coke, they think we're weird. The members here don't think they should drink coke either. Coke is a really normal drink here but it's just weird for these people to think that coffee is bad but coke is good.
---Friday--- Contacting with a member
We were able to go out contacting with a member. We taught them out to knock on doors and everything. We found the house of one of their friends, and we got introduced to her. We talked to her for a bit and she seems receptive to our message which is great.
---Saturday--- Cow Herding (Again)
We went out and tried to have a lesson with the farmers and we got roped into cow herding again. We had to bring the cows from pretty far away back to their house. It took an hour to herd them. One of the cows decided to enter someone's property and start drinking their pila water. The calf got away a couple of times, lots of fun.
We taught a couple of lessons and we finished of the day with that
---Sunday--- Missionary Work Lesson, Rabbit Cages, Donuts
We were able to invite one of our investigators to church and he came. His name is Christian and he is super receptive to our message and really wants to read the Book of Mormon. The main problem he has right now is that he drinks alot. The Relief Society President caught him out drunk one night after we taught him how bad alcohol is. He did come to church and he wants to get better from it, but he seems like he is going to take a while.
We had the Sharing the Gospel lesson with our group. We had participation from the group and everything but we'll see if anything changes.
Afterwards, we had to help our Elders Quorum President build rabbit cages. He had a bunch of used wood and we cutted it to build his cages. There is still more work to be done, but when finished, he can have his rabbits in a safer place. (Stupid cats attack the babies if they get out)
After that, we learned how to make donuts in a member's house. They tasted really good and were very easy to make. I am learning lots of things here in Honduras.
